I see my role as therapist to be that of a companion who will journey with you to the places you dare not go alone:
to witness the struggle and pain you feel deep inside
to respect your wounds and defences
to help you nurture the courage to meet all aspects of yourself.
I trust in the client’s capacity to guide the work towards inner healing.
In doing so, I aim to offer an empowering and transformative experience.
I offer openness and honesty; my humanity.
How it works
People come to therapy for many different reasons.
Feeling stressed, anxious or depressed is common and, perhaps because it is so common, many people suffer in silence instead of seeking help. But, we know from experience that ignoring the feelings won't make them go away.
Perhaps you have recently experienced a major life event, such as a relationship breakdown, job loss or bereavement, and feel you need some extra support as you find your way once again.
Therapy offers a safe and confidential space to explore what is troubling you without fear of judgement or rejection.
Taking the time to explore your difficulties alongside another human being can lead to self-healing and the discovery of inner resources that you can return to again and again as you move through life.
Therapy is not a cure-all, yet it can offer you the opportunity for profound change.
I offer face to face counselling to individuals on either a short or long-term basis. We can discuss your needs upon meeting.
I am able to offer online sessions, if this feels appropriate to the work.
My counselling sessions last 50 minutes and are on a weekly basis.
My fee is £65 per session.
My practice is inclusive of people from all cultural and social backgrounds, gender and sexuality.
